Well, as you can tell from the last few posts...we are all just WAITING for baby Finn to arrive. Some days are easier that others. At our 37 week appointment we found out that I was already 3 centimeters dilated, Finn's head was down at a -2 station and my cervix was at least 50% effaced. (If that means nothing to you, here is a website that explains the basics- http://www.drspock.com/article/0,1510,6234,00.html ) This got us very excited and of course we shared the news with anyone who would listen. "Finn could be here any day!!" However, as we approach the 3 week anniversary of that momentous appointment with no baby in our arms, we are reminded that Finn will get here when he is ready.

The past three weeks have been busy and productive for us. Ang's work threw a baby shower, with many wonderful gifts and warm wishes. Ammon started school again and Ang officially started her maternity leave. While on leave my nesting instinct has kicked in. I, (with some help from Kaisha and Ammon,) put together over 20 meals to freeze. So when the dust settles and we are left alone with a new baby we won't have to think about cooking. I also made a special scrapbook for Finn's visitors. When people come to visit us at the hospital (or at home) we are going to have them take their picture with Finn and write him a special message. I will then put this in the scrapbook and when he is older we can share everyone's first impressions.

Other than that, not too much else to report. On Thursday, our midwife said that we are still making progress and I am about 4 centimeters dilated and his head is getting lower. We have been trying all of the old wives tales for getting this labor started; spicy food, lots of walking, bumpy car rides- you name it we have probably tried it. If you have any other suggestions let us know. Otherwise, keep your cell phones charged and close by, he has to come out sometime soon :)
